The 2017 Buick Cascada: Top Reasons You’ll Love It

As the months of winter drift away and the warm season of spring swoops in, you are probably ready to get outside and even hit the road for a weekend getaway or two. There’s just one type of vehicle that can provide you with the sunny outdoors while heading on vacation – a convertible. One convertible that is definitely worth checking out is the 2017 Buick Cascada. With four doors, instead of the usual two, there’s lots to love about the Cascada, so read on to find out more on this must-have ride.

Upscale Trims

For 2017, the Buick Cascada is available in three trims – each upscale and easy to enjoy. The Base trim starts out the Cascada’s 2017 lineup, coming with an excellent content list. It rides on 20-inch alloy wheels, the engine is remote start, and its convertible soft top is power-operated for quick and easy days in the sun. It also includes:

Adaptive xenon headlightsHeated mirrorsRear parking sensorsDual-zone automatic climate controlLeather upholsteryHeated front seats

The Base trim’s tech list is very impressive too, boosting entertainment with many highly sought-after gadgets, such as:

Buick IntelliLink interface with 7″ touchscreen displayVoice controlsSmartphone integrationRearview cameraOnStar emergency telematics with 4G LTE and Wi-Fi hotspot7-speaker sound system with CD player, satellite radio, and USB media interface

The Cascada’s mid-level Premium trim is filled with all of the Base trim’s loot, but gains even more worthwhile features, such as:

FoglightsAutomatic wipersForward collision warningLane-departure warningFront and rear parking sensorsFront- and rear-seat air deflectorsTouchscreen navigation system

With a convertible, you’ll automatically get sports appeal, but with the Cascada’s Sport Touring trim, you can get even more. Newly added tot he Cascada’s lineup, the Sport Touring shows off unique elements like paint color, distinct alloy wheels, black interior trim and a flat-bottom steering wheel.

2017 Buick Cascada Strong Safety

“Though she be but little, she is fierce.” This quote couldn’t ring more true for the 2017 Buick Cascada. Due to their smaller proportions, convertibles are often thought to be unsafe. But with the Buick nameplate, you can rest assured that the Cascada is far from unsafe! This is proven with its safety equipment and features, as well as its scores in crash testing. Standard safety equipment in the Cascada includes antilock disc brakes, traction and stability control, front-seat side airbags, and front knee airbags. It also comes with the OnStar system that equips it with advanced safety items, such as:

Roadside assistanceAutomatic crash notificationRemote door unlockingStolen vehicle locator

Depending on the trim level you choose, the Cascada will also come with a rearview camera and forward-collision and lane-departure warnings.

A Nice Interior for the Buick Cascada

Buick’s 2017 Cascada may not offer a true luxury experience, but it gets pretty close – especially in its interior. Seats are comfortable, and with rear seats, you can fit more passengers than typically able to in a convertible. Overall space is pretty good, too, with a trunk that offers a healthy 13.4 cubic feet of cargo room with the top up and a still good 9.8 cubic feet with it lowered. While it may not be the ideal vehicle for toting bulky items, its split-folding rear seats (with remote) does add some extra space, along with a pass-through area for longer items.
